Synopsis

Set in the Scottish Highlands, feisty Merida (Kelly Macdonald), daughter of King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson), doesn’t want to follow the traditional path in life for a princess. Her struggles for independence lead her to make a catastrophic mistake when a witch grants her a wish which turns into a curse, a curse which threatens the happiness of her family and the kingdom itself. Brave (2012) explores the love, relationships and struggles between mothers and daughters, and one princess’s fight for freedom.
