Synopsis

Original Title: Tú No Eres Yo

After three years of being away from home, Aitana (Roser Tapias) returns with her wife and their new baby for Christmas to discover that her family has replaced her with a mysterious woman. This creates a tense and unsettling atmosphere with sinister undertones. The film blends elements of horror and family drama, drawing comparisons to the works of Jordan Peele and his portrayal of horror in quotidian surroundings. Critics have praised the film for its slow-burning tension and unique twist on familiar psychological thriller tropes. With themes of identity and belonging, You're Not Me skillfully maintains suspense, exploring the darker sides of family relationships and personal displacement.

Join us for a special in-person Q&A with the directors (Marisa Crespo and Moisés Romera) on Friday 25th October, hosted by CFF programmer Ramon Lamarca.

"A merrily disturbing tale of fractured and frayed family dynamics. You think your family is odd at Christmas? You ain’t seen nothing yet."
