A New Direction in Social Media

The Cambridge Film Festival and Cambridge Film Trust have decided to stop actively posting on X (formerly Twitter). This reflects our commitment to focusing on platforms that better align with our values and provide a positive, inclusive environment for meaningful engagement.

In recent months, like others, we’ve noticed an increase in harmful content on X, including conspiracy theories and hate speech. As a film festival that champions diversity, inclusion, and thoughtful discussion, we feel this shift doesn’t match our ethos. While our X account will remain in place for now, we’ll dedicate our efforts to platforms that foster better conversations and community connections.

We’re excited to focus more on Instagram, where we share updates, behind-the-scenes content, and highlights from the Festival. We’ve also launched a new account on BlueSky

The best way to stay updated on everything happening at the Cambridge Film Festival is through our newsletter. Signing up ensures you’ll receive announcements, ticket releases, and exclusive content directly to your inbox. It’s the easiest way to stay connected and be part of the Festival’s community.

Find links to all our social platforms, including Instagram and BlueSky, and our newsletter sign-up via our Linktree. We’d love for you to join us as we continue celebrating the creativity and storytelling that define the Festival.

Thank you for supporting us and being part of the community that makes the Cambridge Film Festival so special. Let’s keep the conversation going in spaces that better reflect our shared values.
